It's not all doom and gloom though as PS4 and DirectInput controllers will be supported by using Steam's controller settings and configurations though that may require your PC to be running in Big Picture Mode to use properly. Street Fighter 5 didn't launch with native DirectInput support, and many players will note that the feature never really functioned on PC anyway without some tinkering - so it's not really surprising to see it go. PlayStation 4 controller / arcade stick users will be affected by this change the most. The developers have also released a special announcement regarding the Version 4.021 update which will impact PC users of the game with the statement that SF5 on Steam will be losing DirectInput controller support once that patch goes live. These new costumes getting added to the game means that Street Fighter 5 will need a new update which Capcom confirmed will be coming on February 26 and online servers are scheduled to go down from 11 a.m.
